Thomas & Thomas team takes on the Skip 100 Challenge
Zoe & Marcia raise funds for Cancer Research – and get fitter
Date: 31st May 2025
In May 2025, Thomas & Thomas team members, Zoe and Marcia, laced up their trainers and picked up their skipping ropes to take part in the Cancer Research UK Skip 100 Challenge.
The month-long campaign encouraged participants to complete 100 skips a day throughout May, raising funds to support vital cancer research across the UK.
We’re delighted to share that both Zoe and Marcia successfully completed the challenge, skipping their way through the month and helping to raise awareness for a cause that touches so many. Their commitment, energy, and perseverance were a great reflection of the team spirit we value here at Thomas & Thomas.
Zoe cleverly ‘roped’ her pet dog, Jane, into the challenge, adding an extra dimension to the activity – it makes a change from walking round the park!
What is the Skip 100 Challenge?
The Skip 100 Challenge is a nationwide virtual fundraising event organised by Cancer Research UK (CRUK). Participants commit to skipping 100 times a day during the entire month of May – that’s 3,100 skips in total. The challenge is designed to be both fun and accessible, promoting physical activity while raising money for groundbreaking cancer research.
This year’s campaign drew support from across the country, with individuals and teams joining in from homes, parks, and offices. Whether a skipping novice or seasoned skipper, everyone was welcome.
All in the name of a good cause
As of the campaign’s close, more than £387,000 had been raised online, with an additional £75,000 through Gift Aid – bringing the total to nearly £462,000 in support of CRUK’s life-saving work. This sum is the result of thousands of fundraisers just like Zoe and Marcia, stepping up (and jumping up!) to support the cause.
Cancer Research UK’s work impacts millions of people each year through treatment breakthroughs, clinical trials, and community outreach. At Thomas & Thomas, we are proud to support initiatives that align with our values and bring people together for a greater purpose.
A huge well done to Zoe and Marcia for completing the Skip 100 Challenge.
